Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Compass, a service operated by My Job App Pro LLC ("Compass", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use Compass.

What Compass is — and is not

Compass is a private thinking tool that uses artificial intelligence to help you reflect on your career. It is not a recruiter, a placement agency, a licensed career counselor, a financial adviser, a legal adviser, a medical professional, or any other regulated provider of professional services. Nothing produced by Compass — including assessments, archetype reports, plans, daily tasks, mentor responses, decision frameworks, or voice conversations — constitutes professional advice or a guarantee of any outcome. You are responsible for your own decisions.

AI is a tool, not a truth machine

Outputs from the mentor and other AI features are generated by large language models. They may be incomplete, out of date, biased, or simply wrong. Do not rely on them for material decisions — about your career, finances, health, legal matters, or anything else — without independently verifying the information with a qualified professional. You agree that you use AI outputs at your own risk.

No promises

We make no promises that using Compass will lead to a job, a promotion, a salary increase, a particular career outcome, or any other specific result. Compass is a tool for your own reflection. What you do with it — and what happens next — is entirely up to you, the market, and a great deal of luck none of us controls.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Compass. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please use accurate information when you sign up; impersonating someone else is prohibited.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Compass to harass, threaten, or harm another person; to generate or distribute unlawful, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable content; to attempt to bypass our security, scrape our service at scale, reverse engineer it, or interfere with its operation; to resell or rebrand the service without written permission; or to use Compass in any way that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

Your content

You own the content you write or upload to Compass — your assessment answers, notes, journal entries, plans, and decisions. By using the service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating Compass for you, including by sending it to our AI processing providers for inference. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

Support

Compass does not operate live customer service. We do not offer guaranteed response times, telephone support, or service-level agreements of any kind. We read messages sent to admin@myjobapppro.com and reply on a best-effort basis. If you need guaranteed, real-time support, Compass is not the right tool for you.

Fees and subscriptions

Some Compass features are free. Others may require a paid subscription. Prices, billing cycles, and trial terms are disclosed before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Except where required by law, fees already paid are not refundable. You can cancel at any time from your Settings page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Intellectual property

Compass, the Compass wordmark, the "Discover your direction" tagline, the eight archetypes, MyJobAppPro, and all related logos, copy, designs, and software are the property of My Job App Pro LLC and are protected by trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission. Nothing in these terms transfers any of our intellectual property to you.

Termination

You may stop using Compass at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your right to use Compass ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including the disclaimers, limitations of liability, intellectual property terms, and governing law — do so.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that AI outputs are accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Job App Pro LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or career outcomes — arising out of or in connection with your use of Compass, whether in contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Job App Pro LLC, its affiliates, and its service providers from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of Compass, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which My Job App Pro LLC is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, you and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or to Compass will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in-product. Continued use of Compass after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Compass.
