Account deletion
Leave cleanly, take nothing with us.
You can delete your Compass account and the data associated with it at any time, whether you used Compass on the web, Android, or iOS.
What gets deleted.
- Your profile, sign-in identity, and connected sign-in methods
- Assessment answers and results
- Career plans, milestones, and daily tasks
- Saved professions, goals, and decisions
- Mentor conversations, memories, and voice sessions
- Reflections, check-ins, and activity history
What may be kept.
- Messages you sent to Compass support, including your contact details.
- Safety audit records, which keep contact details after deletion.
- Residual copies in routine backups, which expire on their own schedule.
- Payment records held by Stripe or Apple, under their own retention rules.
- Anonymized aggregate metrics that no longer identify you.
About your subscription.
Subscriptions billed through Compass, including purchases made from the Android app, are cancelled automatically when you delete your account.
App Store subscriptions are managed by Apple. Cancel yours in your Apple account settings so you aren't charged again.
